A Manifesto

The MSM continues to delude itself and the Democratic Party with the idea that the election hinged on "moral values" (read:gay marriage). Actually, isn't this an exact replay of how the MSM dealt with Howard's reelection in Australia? If he'd lost, the election would have been seen as a repudiation of the war in Iraq, but since he won, the election was about a whole host of other issues having nothing to do with the war. Heads they win, tails we lose.

Via Instapundit, we have a comment on the Roger L. Simon site that acts as a veritable manifesto for why this election went to Bush. This commenter is the type of voter who may well have shown up in opinion polls over the last year as "country going wrong direction" and "disapprove of Bush's performance", which the media always assumes means the person must be to the left of the President. Wrong!

I wonder how the "moral values" poll question is worded? I mean voting against a guy like Kerry is a moral value!
