Man, oh man! I'll let the comments I posted on VodkaPundit's liveblogging open comments thread speak for themselves (they're copied below). Also, the effect of this debate will be completely in line with what I said last week. A big, big, victory for the Republicans tonight. BTW, I'd rename this post "Shock and Awe" if I weren't afraid of the permalink URL for it changing.

This has been riveting. At this point, Edwards has been asked why he, having the least experience ever of any VP candidate should be one heartbeat away (not commenting on that, but just to indicate when I'm typing this). The man looks (on my crappy old B&W teevee) like he's sweating buckets. Edwards has clearly been more flustered by this, and there was one point, earlier, when Edwards thought he got in a good dig, that Cheney simply smirked at the idiocy of what Edwards had tried. Cheney has been a Gibralter through this.
IMHO, Cheney is wiping the floor with Edwards. With extreme prejudice.

Only half joking here, but on my crappy B&W, Edwards suit is starting to look like a rain slicker. As I thought and posted on the night of the presidential debate, the VP debate would erase the badness of that debate. It's a new race again.

Kudos to Edwards to keep on trucking, when the man is going to need a SERIOUS shower after this. Cheney will be able to wear the same undershirt tomorrow. That's not just efficient, it's good thinking ahead.
