Brian over at Peeve Farm has a couple of great posts. One of them spells out the meaning of the Duelfer Report, which shows how France and Germany were receiving bribes from Saddam, even while sticking the shiv in our backs at the U.N. Saddam was expecting them to prevent the war by obstructing us, and he planned to rev up WMD production after sanctions were dropped. Brian has shown the importance of the report in a nice, succinct way, that I haven't found elsewhere today. The report is an important new issue, and I hadn't found anything else that spelled out why without making me yawn. Good job, Brian!
The other post is about Bill Whittle's essay, which I mentioned here. Brian also noticed the tie-in with a previous esssay of mine. Brian had posted a nice essay of his own a couple of days ago in response to that previous essay. I intend to address his response soon, when I get a bit more of chance to do some thinking and writing.
