Civilization, in every generation, must be defended from barbarians.
The barbarians outside the gate, the barbarians inside the gate, and the barbarian in the mirror...
Indeed. Not only Warm-mongers and the Darwinists employ the same tactics, but they also follow the same sort of "reasoning."
... I got as far as the claim that Palin is the Obama of the right and my eyes were rolling too hard to continue. Some folks just can't seem to figure out that simply because you're making everyone mad doesn't mean you're right, it just means you're annoying.
Of course, *sometimes* if you're making "everyone" angry, it may be because you're right and "everyone" is determined to not know the truth. But, in general, it's more likely that you're just annoying.
Folks being mad just means you've said something they don't like; Elf would say that since most people are idiots, there'd be a high association between being right and making people angry...but there's a high association between having money and getting drunk, too. Doesn't mean that if you get drunk, you'll have cash....
Exactly; there is an association between angering masses of people and being right ... and there is also an association between angering masses of people and being simply an ass.
Elf had a chief who applied the "make everyone mad" theory to being a supervisor.Yeah. Antagonist boss is suxor. -.-
