Hot Air has video of the Popular Mechanics guys who wrote Debunking 9/11 Myths going head to head with the Loose Change conspiracy theorists on a talk show. It looks like everyone who doesn't agree with the half-baked ludicrous theories is a liar! This has to be seen to be believed.
These youngsters are illustrating the most important principle of engineering forensics: if given the choice between a handful of harried eyewitness reports made in the initial moments of confusion (and only those that support your theory, and taken as far out of context as possible) or the result of man-years of sober engineering analysis done in the months after the catastrophe (by many different institutions), obviously, go with the former! The children who made Loose Change are ignorant fools whose ignorance includes the fact of their ignorance. And they won't listen to anything The Man has to say!
I wasn't originally planning on buying the Popular Mechanics book, but now I'm going to, just on general principles.
Good exposition and additional links here.
Update: Entire debate in one consolidated piece is here.
