Perhaps I'm overlooking that the electorate in question is Massachusetts, but still, after a year of seeing the result of where the Obamanation means to take the nation, 53% to 46% seems terrible -- are there still that many Americans who refuse to see reality?

Yeah, there is that. But this one was well done; it wasn't wooden as it might have been if it were done simply because *everything* these days is done to Hitler-in-the-bunker.
What I mean is, just because Hitler-in-the-bunker is currently a cultural cliché doesn’t mean that none of them are good. Originality for the sake of originality is itself a cliché; working within a set of constraints or expectations and producing something new is art.
