It's Not The Loss Of Abortion They Fear, It's The Loss Of Abortion As A Knee-Jerk National Talking Point Issue

The Democrats have got to already know that a reversal of Roe v. Wade will not result in the criminalization of abortion in most places in this country. However, what they do know is that the mantra "Roe v. Wade" has been as effective as Pavlov's bell in motivating their voters. So, what they fear most is the repeal of Roe v. Wade, the resulting near-total lack of change in the substantive abortion situation in this country, and thereby the total loss of effectiveness of this magical incantation. Pretty scary when that's just about all they've got to motivate their supporters. If the Democrats are not necessary to safeguard the Blessed Sacrament Of Abortion, then just what are they necessary for? I mean, really, people that have their minds sharply focused on porn, fornication, and hedonism (and the attendent tranquilizing and narcotic effect of getting their "needs" met) tend not to be all that political as long as they feel secure that no one is going to interfere with their "freedom". And if abortion stands regardless of the status of Roe v. Wade, then all's well, right? Pity the Democrats.
