Editor - I awoke this morning from an eight-year sleep to a new day. I awoke with joy in my heart, gladness filled my being.

On Jan. 20, I will hang my American flag with pride. It will hang as a symbol for all of the potential we have to change, to grow, to come together as a nation and to redeem ourselves in the eyes of the world. Today I am so very proud of our country and so proud to be an American.
