Pop quiz...

1) The process of random mutation + natural selection is observed and imagined as being capable of creating complex digital code driven machinery. It is inferred this is how the machinery of life came to exist.

2) The process of intelligent design is observed creating complex digital code driven machinery. It is inferred this is how the machinery of life came to exist.

Mark the stronger inference.

Dear Matteo,

Below is my position. Infer from the same which I believe to be the stronger inference.

An intelligent designer, God, is the source of all things, including life. His actions of design are extremely difficult--if at all possible--to detect amidst what appears to be happening much like how the atheist evolutionists envision it to be happening. I expect that the way things are will be a big disappointment to those who cannot countenance common descent with modification over long periods of time.

I am open to the possibility of an adequate mathematical and inferential, statistical method being devised which could detect a likelihood of intelligent activity in evolutionary processes. Such an employment of statistics would be as every bit "scientific" as any other use of statistics in the service of science.

Is there a problem with my position? Is there anything else that must be said regarding this topic?
