I cannot think of any time I have seen atheists toting guns (or any other weapons) with an objective either to intimidate others or to propagate atheism. Do they raise atheists differently on the west coast?

There is a very simple reason that atheists tend to aim more criticism at Christians and Jews than at Muslims: there are more of the former nearby than there are of the latter. The world is small, but I stand a much better chance of changing my neighbor's mind than changing the mind of a random person living in the Middle East. Physical proximity is not the only link; language is another.

Both evangelical Christians and militant Muslims similarly distort fact and their opponents' positions. They cite similar parts of their holy books in defense of their antisocial or hypocritical actions. The tactics that work against one are likely to work against the other: once our neighborhoods are cleaned up, we can move on to cities around the world.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
