Matteo, my dad used to do similar work, only, on much much much smaller towers! Yikes. That had my palms sweating. I can not even begin to imagine the descent. Hope I don't get nightmares!
This isn't a job for women ... and while it's probably not a high-status job, the pay is probably pretty good ... and so, of course (*), feminists will demand that the physical requirements be eased back so that women will "qualify."
(*) Due to the pay, not the status; if it were low-status AND low-pay, feminists would never insist on inappropriately putting women in the job.
